Named for its great red sands, Akane Desert is perhaps the most uninhabitable piece in the land, even normal desert life finds it a hard way of life. Mountainous sand dunes rise to the heights of several story buildings. The sands are unstable and loose, giving way to pitfalls with no warning. Sidewinder rattle snakes lie in wait beneath the sands. The sand dunes, a predominant feature here, eventually give way to a rocky desert where rough, prickly shrubs and cactuses cling to life. Water is virtually impossible to find. Any and all rainfall is quickly soaked up into the ground or rolls off into the low depression of Edicius Steppe. The heat quickly soars to boiling in the day and drops to freezing at night.

A desolate place, Edicius Steppe is a vast, wide prairie. Yet, the clouds are low and dark and sunlight is nearly nonexistent here due to the cloud thickness. The grass is long and yellow, the hardy, tasteless kind that can survive with little sun. There is no wind, yet the grass moves and sways almost constantly as if it were some living creature, or more likely hiding some dangerous predator. The grasses brush against each other, whispering. This is a land of lost spirits, a land to get lost within entirely too easily. There are no trees or shrubs to use as landmarks for one to find their way home. Most find this a place to simply let the reality of life slip away in response to a higher calling. Or some even come here to hide away from the horrors of the world. The very edge of the Steppe drops away to a rocky, craggy area even less appealing than the previous desert. The lands beyond Edicius Steppe have never been explored, or rather no one has returned to state of any findings.

Galantine Marsh, it stretches over 5 acres of marshy wet lands that seem nearly impossible to navigate. Only one color seems to be seen in this place. Dull, earthy, disgusting brown. From the brown moss that hangs off of the half molded, wet, dead trees, to the brown of the dead grass, and muddy ground, the brown of the water stretching over 3/4 of this location. The only thing worse then all the brown; is the dangerous brown crocodiles who call the marsh home. Yellow eyes peer out of the trees, as the owls hoot to warn travelers away, and an eery grayish-brown mist is constantly hovering over the land, making it even harder to navigate through. It's a land that most often is avoided, both for the hazard of the traveling conditions, as well as the dangerous predators. But the few who do venture in will find a surprise in the center of the marsh. A completely dry area, void of mist, and full of luscious green grass, and drinkable water. The only suitable oasis to live in while passing through the Galantine marsh.
